Due to the intense nature of the Job of Slider, a trained Slider is in Control of his actions and reactions. Loss of control leads in unsafe sliding and injury of Slider, Guest or Show.
Control come most strongly in the form of Choice. You are called to make choices and decisions every moment that you are onstage. You are the Stalker. You are the Performer. You make the decisions When to Slide, Where to slide, How far to slide, Who to slide near, and Why you are sliding.
If the situation is not right, if the path isn’t clear, if the terrain hasn’t been tested, if the guests goad you into a mistimed slide you can hurt yourself or others.
Make good Choices and Control your situation.
