One of the most important aspects of performing is energy. Guests know if you are into it or just going through the motions. No matter how scary your makeup or costume if you don’t have energy in your performance you won’t be scary.
Enthusiasm and Energy bring life to the monster you are portraying. And you don’t need to be hyperactive to show energy, slow deliberate motions done with enthusiasm show energy and power. Just like you feel better about your performance when a guest is enthusiastic (or screaming in utter shaking terror), guests much more enjoy performance from energetic monsters than bored ones.
