GLOSSARY
Just like any sport, sliding does have it's own unique slang terms. Here are some of the common ones we use.
Biff: To Mess Up. A mistake that leads to a fall. ex. "He Biffed when his pad caught the crack." or "Did you see that biff, he nearly face planted."
Face Plant: To smash your face into a sliding surface, usually as the result of pads getting stuck on rough surface.
Strawberry: Skinned Knee or Elbow. Usually annoying, but not often resulting in stoppage of performance.
Roll Out: To literally roll out of a Biff and continue performing. The best roll outs look like they were an intentional part of the characters movement.
Clicking: The sound made with metal fingertips. Used as a scare technique and for communication between sliders.
